This gun functios exactly like the RS, which is Single Action, meaning unless the hammer is back, pulling the trigger would do nothing at all. When the safety is on, you can not pull the hammer back, you can not pull the trigger if the hammer is already back, and you can not pull back the slide, Which is actually a bolt in this guns case. When they invented the.44 Automag, They used a lot of rifle designs actually. Such as the vented rib on top of the barrel, and the bolt action type thing. I really don't know how to explain it, but thats what they did. This Gun (airsoft version) has another kind of neat feature. Normally when the safety switch is straight, the safty is off, and when its up it is on, but the airsoft version has something else, - when the switch is facing down, you can keep shooting the gun (with no rounds) without the slide/bolt Locking back.
