The CPU Meter gadget is probably my favorite overall resource monitoring gadget for Windows 7 and Windows Vista. How can the answer be improved?
Originally the ALL CPU Meter didn't work for anyone with Windows 7 after they installed IE 9 beta. Then All CPU Meter came out with ver 3.3 which fixed the conflict with IE 9 and it worked fine on my computer for awhile as well. Somehow something happened to my computer so that problem returned and the All CPU Meter is acting like it did before the ver 3.3 update. I have run sfc /scannow but it did not help. Maybe it was something else I updated or maybe downgrading to IE 8 and then going back to IE 9 did something, but now, even if I go back to IE 8 I still have the problem with at least these 2 gadgets, All CPU Meter and the Fidelity gadget. I'm wondering if it might be a registry conflict but I wouldn't know where to start to find it.
Otherwise everything else on my computer is working fine. I am running Windows 7 64 bit with IE 9 beta. There is a known problem between some gadgets and IE's Interent Security Zones. I have collected a number of the more complex solutions offered for this problem with the desktop gadgets and combined them into a command line (.CMD) batch file that any Windows 7 user with access to administrative credentials (e.g. Username and password) can run.
