Bought a Samsung GT-S5611 from Amazon Know it says in the description supports WMA format, all my music is in WMA format, i wish it wasn't now, but years ago i decided keeping it to a format WMP liked was better. So here's the thing, Samsung have a piece of software called Kies to be used to transfer stuff from PC to phone, fine - it works fine, however the phone cant natively play wma files ( thanks for omitting that advertisers ) instead kies uses something called MyFreeCodec to allow it to happen. So i installed Kies on my PC and MyFreeCodec got installed as well, Kies transfers the wma files to the phone ok, checking the folders through Windows i see the wma files are on the device, but on trying to play them on the phone i get a message unsupported format. So what has MyFreeCodec done, has it done anything? Anyone know much about MyFreeCodec and what has to be done with it. There are no conversion options in Kies.
If i cant sort it then i have 3 options. Send the phone back convert all my music to mp3, and i cant find a free converter that will do bulk, they all want money. Re-Rip all the music, some of which i only still have in wma format on my PC. Dota V6 78c Ai here.
